Dr Amy Talbot strongly believes in the importance of improving mental health outcomes and increasing community awareness through education and the sharing of expert knowledge and skills with other professionals and the broader community including parents and teachers.
Dr Amy Talbot has been invited to speak at various local community group meetings and events including local media services. She has also been an invited guest lecturer in postgraduate psychology at Macquarie University and her research has been presented at various Australian and International conferences. She regularly works closely with teachers, school counsellors, GPs, and parents to provide education and guidance about supporting children and young people to develop confidence, overcome difficulties and achieve their potential.
Dr Amy Talbot has developed a number of professional development seminars and workshops for school staff and other community groups on topics such as supporting anxious children in the classroom. Examples of seminars developed for community groups include parenting skills training such as emotion coaching and mindful parenting, as well as educational seminars about various psychological conditions. The training packages range from brief 1-2 hour seminars to full day workshops depending on your budget and requirements.
